Dover swept to victory at Basingstoke courtesy of three first half goals in Blue Square South on Saturday.
Andy Hessenthaler’s side dominated the opening period and looked to be back to their best. The visitors came back into the game after the break, but were only able to pull one goal back.
Dover took the lead after only two minutes when a Matt Fish cross found Frannie Collin who turned and fired the ball home.
Their second came after 25 minutes when Nicky Southall’s free-kick was volleyed into the net by Olly Schulz (pictured).
Schulz then set up the third after 32 minutes when his pass found Shaun Welford who went round the keeper and tucked the ball home from an angle.
Basingstoke pulled a goal back after 57 minutes from a Gary Frewen free-kick that went round the Dover wall and into the net.
