Dover District Council is holding a public event at the park from 1pm until 4pm and interested people are asked to tell the authority what they want in the space.

Those who can't make it are invited to take part in this online survey.

Described as a "new vision" for Cowdray Square park, the council's publicity leaflet says: "Would you like new equipment for children and young people? How about a designated dog area? A community garden with flowers and vegetation?"

The event provides the opportunity to meet local councillors, Kent police officers, DDC staff, and other partner agencies.

Ward councillor Helen Williams said: "We hope to demonstrate to Dover District Council that Mill Hill residents want an improved playpark and an improved and inspiring green space, fit for now and the future.

"We hope to engage the local community to support this project as it develops."

The deadline for the online survey is next Thursday, August 26. To complete it click this link.
