Betteshanger Cricket Club make their second appearance in four years in the ECB indoor six-a-side championship national finals at Lord’s on Sunday.
And captain Joffy Towe has vowed that his side will go all out to make up for what happened in the 2010 finals.
Towe, a teacher at Castle Community College, said: "We lost in the semi-finals last time. We were well on top until the last two overs when we just capitulated and we would love to make up for that.
"We want to at least make the final this time and if we could go on to win the final that would be just fantastic."
It would also complete a hat-trick of Kent victories in the competition, with Whitstable winning it last year after Canterbury were the champions in 2011.
Betteshanger’s opponents in Sunday’s first semi-final will be Sarisbury Athletic from Hampshire.
Towe said: "We don’t know anything about them but we are feeling fairly confident. The players know that if they all do their jobs, we are capable of beating anybody."
