Deal Hockey Club hit form to beat Burnt Ash 4ths 5-1 in Kent Open Premier A Division. Skipper James Bolt opened the scoring but Ash equalised moments later and could have taken the lead had their penalty flick not been saved by goalkeeper Gary Tupper.
Deal then made Ash pay as Bolt, Tom Carnegie, Charlie Michael and Josh Cole netted to seal a comprehensive victory.
Deal 2nds saw off a fightback from Sutton Valence 5ths to win 3-2.
Valence converted a penalty flick and scored from a goalmouth scramble after Deal had swept into a 3-0 lead.
Deal ladies lost their first home game of the season in Kent League Division 2, 2-1 to Ashford 2nds on Saturday. Ashford hit two quick goals before Caroline Wilson halved the deficit.
