Registration for this year's Boxing Day Dip in Deal has officially opened.
Brave participants can now reserve their place in the chilly challenge via dealrotaryicebreakers.co.uk
The event was taken over by Deal Rotary Club from founders Deal Icebreakers in 2019.
Vice president Marlene Burnham said: "This year is the 40th anniversary of the dip beginning, and after a break of a year owing to Covid restrictions, we are very proud to continue with this tradition.
"It is an end of year event that so many folk enjoy."
Hundreds are expecting to sign up to the event which takes place at 11am on the beach beside Deal Pier.
The entry fee is £7 in advance, available until midnight on December 20, or £10 on the day, with the money going towards local charities and good causes.
All pre booked entrants will need to print off their ticket and check in at the registration desk to recieve a wristband, granting entry into the secure beach area.
Those paying on the day are asked to pay via card.
Footwear is recommened and participants are asked to leave the water by 11.15am and not swim further than 50 metres from the beach.
