A 12-year-old boy was given oxygen by fire-fighters after a fire in the kitchen of his Dover home.
The alarm was raised on Friday evening when smoke filled the kitchen of a house at Douglas Road. A pizza was cooking in the oven, but the plastic wrapping had not been removed.
The boy called the fire service but suffered from the inhalation of smoke and had to be given oxygen. Paramedics were also called to check the boy's condition, but he was not taken to hospital.
The fire service is warning people to make sure they remove all the plastic packaging before putting food in the oven.
