Boy seriously injured in collision

A boy is recovering after he was taken to hospital by air ambulance following a collision involving a car last Thursday afternoon.

Police are appealing for witnesses following the incident which left the 14-year-old pedestrian with serious injuries.

It involved a blue Fiat Punto and happened at 4.25pm on Jubilee Road, near the junction with The Street at Worth, near Sandwich. Police closed the road until 8.30pm.

Officers are particularly keen to speak to passengers on a bus who may have witnessed the collision.

Police said today the boy was off the critical list.
