Mac’s cafe in South Street, Deal will close its doors tomorrow after eight years of trade.

The cafe, which serves breakfast, brunch and lunches, has placed a notice in its window.

It reads: “It is with regret and sadness that we are closing our door. We would like to thank our customers and staff for their loyalty and support during this time.

“Sunday will be our last day and we may well be serving a limited menu.”

Rita Bishop, of Lord Warden Avenue, Deal, said: “What a shame. It was the only cafe that opened its doors at 6.30am to cater for the workmen wanting breakfast.”
