A car fire is causing delays around Deal.

It's understood it happened in London Road near Queen Street and Mill Road.

The Queen Street is partially blocked by emergency vehicles in both directions with queueing traffic as a result.

Stagecoach bus services have been disrupted by the blaze.

The bus operator said: "Due to a car fire, we are currently diverting all our 81 services

"Due to heavy traffic town-bound from Dover and Canterbury will divert up Telegraph and down Salisbury Road.

"Sandwich-bound and Dover-bound will divert via Victoria Park.

"Thank you for your patience."

It added: "Due to an incident in Deal causing major delays, the 43 from Sandwich at 1.51pm to Canterbury has been cancelled.

"Sorry for the inconvenience."

Kent Police has been approached for comment.
