The fourth birthday of Deal Breastfeeding Support Group was celebrated with lots of cake and plenty of cuddles.
Since its inception in 2012, DBSG has worked to support breast feeding mothers and their families during a weekly meet.
At their latest meeting where members celebrated turning four, Trevor Skelton who helped the group gain charity status, thanked founder and organiser Candice Roberts, and all the volunteers for their continued fundraising and awareness efforts, which make the group as successful as it is.
This year’s fundraising efforts include the KM Colour Run, in which participants run while being showered in paint.
They also did the Boxing Day Dip and took part in the Deal Breast Cancer Now Calendar 2016.
Some members, including the group’s fundraising officer Emma Rosen, will soon be taking part in the KM Abseil challenge, where she will descend a 130ft building.
Ms Rosen said: “Whilst raising the money is wonderful, it also allows me to take part in wonderful, fun events with my friends.”
The group meets on Mondays from 1.30pm to 3.30pm at St George’s Church, St George’s Road, Deal, and new people are always welcome.
