Residents have been urged to get their chimneys swept after a fire in Deal last night (Saturday).
A crew from Deal fire station was called to Arthur Road at 6.30pm after flames broke out in the chimney.
Watch manager Malcolm Cowie said: "We used specialist equipment to make sure it did not spread."
For wood fuel, chimneys should be swept every six months, and every year for coal fires.
