Plans to transform a putting green into an 18-hole crazy golf course will be discussed on Thursday.
Manston Golf Centre Ltd has applied to Dover District Council to convert the vacant area adjacent to Walmer Paddling Pool, in Deal.
The company already runs Rascal Bay in Manston Road, Ramsgate, where it charges adults £8.50 a game and also runs children’s parties.
Although its design for the Walmer attraction carries a different theme.
It has references to the area’s history including smugglers, fishing and both Walmer and Dover Castles.
Councillors will discuss the prospect at a virtual meeting at 5.30pm.
Planning officer Andrew Wallace recommends permission should be granted.
No objections have been raised by Kent County Council's Highway Services, public rights of way and archaeological departments.
A letter of support was sent by DDC's principal leisure officer Laura Corby.
She said: "The location will complement existing seaside leisure facilities such as Walmer Paddling Pool and is likely to attract family members of all ages; encouraging people to lead healthier lifestyles, be active outdoor that will benefit physical and mental well-being.
"Open Golf is returning to the district and this type of facility will also help to promote grass root golf offering a taste of the sport at a recreational level."
Visit Kent's deputy chief executive David Brignell also supports the scheme, believing it would increase the offering of Kent's £3.8bn tourism industry.
The plans show local attractions would be replicated on the course.
There would be a hole dedicated to Dover’s Roman lighthouse and other wrecks plus a water fountain.
The plans also include the erection of a 12m by 6.5m entrance kiosk which would be made of white painted timber cladding and a felt roof. It would back on to the promenade.
The application awaits a decision and can be viewed here using reference 20/00952.
