Fire crews battle Tilmanstone roof blaze for two hours

Fire crews fought for almost two hours to extinguish a blaze that broke out in a property's roof.
Emergency services were called to the home in Tilmanstone, near Deal, just before 1.10pm yesterday (Thursday).
Four fire engines were sent to Lower Street and when they arrived smoke was rising from the roof.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used hose reel jets and main jets to extinguish the blaze.
A fire service spokesman confirmed no casualties.
A fire investigation officer attended and the exact cause is unknown, but is believed to be accidental.
The flames were put out by and crews had left by just after 3.05pm.
