Date announced for public inquiry
14:42, 02 December 2008
A public inquiry is to be held into controversial plans for a wind farm at Langdon.
The inquiry will be held at the Whitfield Council Offices and is due to start on January 7 and last until January 26.
Extra seating for 50 members of the public will be available along with spaces for 65 people in an overflow room with an audio link.
Council spokesman Andy Steele said: “In case of significant public attendance it is also proposed to put up a marquee outside the council chamber which will be lit and have an audio link.”
He added that there are parking spaces at the council offices but these may be limited if a large amount of people come along.
“We suggest car sharing or using other methods of transport,” Mr Steele said.
