Derek Hares is poised to move into the transfer market to boost his squad as injuries and suspensions continue to bite.

The Deal Town boss wouldn’t reveal any names but admitted he hopes something might happen in the next few days.

Long-term casualties Leon Ingram and Shane Suter are a fortnight away from a return, Jake Eastwood and goalkeeper Paul Rogers are 50-50 for this week’s Bulmers Cider Kent League Premier Division trip to third-placed Beckenham, while Scott Holden is suspended.

Aaron Robinson is rated doubtful, despite scoring on his comeback against Fisher last week, and Gary Beeden faces a three-match ban after being sent-off in the FA Cup defeat at Selsey last week.

Hares said: “We never seem able to field a settled side and have to make two or three changes every week and I think it’s affecting us.

“I still think we are a decent side but it’s certainly holding us back.
“Thankfully I have got a big squad but still think we need to strengthen to keep things going. I have made one or two enquiries in the last few days.”

Utility man Darren Waring is also unavailable at the weekend because of a family wedding.
