11:18, 30 December 2012
A derelict hospital in Eastry has gone up in flames.
The blaze broke out at the three-storey building in Mill Lane around 7:40am today.
At it's height around 30 firefighters were fighting the flames which had spread to all floors.
The Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) team have also been sent to help after the roof collapsed. Internal walls are also showing signs of caving in.
By lunchtime the flames were out but crews remained at the scene checking for hotspots with thermal imaging cameras.
No one is thought to have been injured and it is not known what caused the blaze.
