A spectacular strike from Sammy Moore paved the way for Dover to
maintain their lead at the top of Blue Square South on Monday.

The goal came after just 10 minutes. Welling's Sam Hurrell was
caught in possession by Moore and the former Ipswich midfielder
struck a stunning 25-yard right-foot effort in off the far post to
beat former Whites keeper Charlie Mitten.

Nicky Southall nearly doubled the lead minutes later but shot
wide from 25 yards after a short corner.

Both teams created little in the heat, but Dover managed to
double their lead two minutes into first-half stoppage time. Shaun
Welford caught out Welling's on-loan Charlton youngster Yado Mambo
and crossed for Lee Browning to sweep home.

A stunning one-handed save from Dover keeper Lee Hook kept out
near-post header from Welling's Steve King in the 66th minute.

Welling had a chance to get back into the contest with 16
minutes left when a rare error by Dean Hill let in Jake Hobbs but
the Wings' leading scorer blazed over when left with just Hook to
beat.
