Residents can now take a sneak peak at what the new Dover Hospital will look like by watching a virtual tour provided by the East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust.
The video, accessible via YouTube, takes those who wish to explore, into the plans of the hospital that is due to open in February 2015, replacing Buckland Hospital on the Coombe Valley Road site.
The video was published by last month, and is branded: “a typical patient journey in the new hospital in Dover.”
The digitalised footage takes the viewer through the reception, into the minor injuries waiting room and through to the X-Ray clinic in a realistic 3D form.
Residents also get the chance to see the various wards and treatment areas in the preview, which is 3.39 minutes long.
The video description states: “A fantastic computer generated video which takes you through our new Dover Hospital and shows what it will be like for our patients once construction has been completed.”
