Dover man arrested following assault and burglaries

Two men - one of them from Dover - have been arrested in connection with an assault inChartham.
Police were called at about 12.35am on Sunday to a report that two men and a woman had been assaulted inShalmsford Street.
Officers searched the area for the two male suspects and after a short foot chase, arrested a 20-year-old man fromAshford on suspicion of actual bodily harm, possession of an offensive weapon and breach of court bail.
Between 1am and 2am the same night, police received reports of burglaries at two properties inShalmsford Street.
Officers who investigated the incidents have now arrested a 20-year-old man, fromDover, on suspicion of assault causing actual bodily harm and two counts of burglary.
Both men have been bailed until February 21 pending further enquiries.
