A Dover man has admitted to four counts of theft from shops in the town.
Benjamin Aldred, 26, of Rokesley Road stole alcohol three times from the Co-op in Castle Street and £20 worth of ready meals from Marks and Spencer in Biggin Street in January and February.
He was sentenced to 120 days in prison, suspended for 18 months.
A 12 month supervision order was imposed on Aldred, who appeared before Medway magistrates via the virtual court link at Folkestone’s police station.
The 26-year-old has been ordered to carry out a six month alcohol treatment requirement and to pay £79.96 in compensation, £85 costs and a victim surcharge of £80.
