Ofsted has said River Primary school is outstanding in all categories inspected.
At the school’s last inspection, in 2009, it was rated good.
But now the primary school has soared ahead and reached the highest level, despite Ofsted’s more rigorous standards.
Ofsted has made it more difficult for schools to grasp the outstanding status and they cannot do so unless they have outstanding teaching.
Lead inspector Sarah Jones’ report stated that: “Teachers and teaching assistants make an exceptional contribution to the progress and learning of all pupils.”
