Dover shooting: Man in court

An 18-year-old man has appeared in court charged in connection with a shooting incident in Dover on Monday.
Antoine Anicotte, of Salisbury Road, Dover, is accused of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and attempting to pervert the course of justice.
He appeared before Channel Magistrates at Folkestone on Wednesday, January 19, and was remanded in custody to appear at the Crown Court on January 31.
A man, also aged 18, is still in a serious condition in a London hospital after undergoing surgery to remove a bullet from his chest.
Police recovered a handgun from a property near the scene of the shooting, in Frith Road, Dover, and forensic officers are due to carry out tests on it to establish whether it was the one used in the shooting.
