Incident in Deal High Street, paramedics, police and firefighters called

Emergency services came out in force following an incident in Deal High Street.

They were called out around midday today for what turned out to be a medical incident with the victim seriously ill.

Four ambulance vehicles, two vans and two cars were seen on that street.

Startled shoppers also saw a fire engine and two police cars around the corner in South Street.

A police spokesman told Kent Online this afternoon: "Kent Police were called to High Street, Deal, at 12.05pm following a report of a medical incident.

"South East Coast Ambulance Service are in attendance."

A SECAmb spokesman said: "WE were called at approximately 11.45am to reports a person had collapsed.

" Ambulance crews attended the scene and provided emergency treatment.

" The person has been taken to hospital in a life-threatening condition."

Kent Fire and Rescue Service says it was called to assist police and paramedics.
