Campaigner Esther Rantzen is to visit Dover in April to talk to volunteers who help look after people who are detained at Dover Immigration Removal Centre (pictured left).

She will go to the Dover Detainee Visitor Group offices at Poulton Close, on Wednesday April 6 to talk to chairwoman Miriam Wood and director Vebi Kosumi before meeting staff and discussing various projects.

She will then have lunch with volunteers.

It is not yet known whether she will visit the removal centre itself.
