Fashion show and table top sale help support Deal Community Carnival

A mother and daughter who feel their summers wouldn’t be the same without Deal’s carnival are doing their best to support it.
Kerys Squire, of Allenby Avenue, Deal, is holding a table-top sale to raise funds for Deal Community Carnival, on Saturday.
It will be from 9am until 12.30pm in Wesley Hall inside Trinity Church, in West Street, and all are welcome.
Miss Squire said: “I’m supporting our own Deal Carnival this year as it’s such an important part of our community events in the summer, and brings everyone together every year.
“Without our carnival, our summers wouldn’t be the same.”
Clothes, jewellery, toys and bric-a-brac will be among the items on sale. There will also be a raffle and refreshments.
Miss Squire said: “I look forward to seeing everyone there.”
Her mum, Lisa Hale, who is the co-owner of a new special occasion dress hire shop in Deal, is also doing her bit by holding a charity fashion show.
Ubeauty Special Occasion Dress Hire opened at UBeauty in Broad Street, last Saturday.
To show off their stunning stock, Lisa and her business partner Claire Cousin have organised a charity fashion show at 7pm on Friday, April 15 at The Ocean Rooms in Deal, with all proceeds going to Deal Community Carnival and Miss European Pageant 2016.
Ms Hale said: “We cater for all occasions: prom, pageant, balls, ladies race days and evening wear. Please come along to the show and see what we’ve got.”
Tickets cost £3 and are available from Ubeauty or on the door.
The admission ticket will have a raffle ticket attached to it for all the girls who attend to win a free spray tan and a free teeth whitening treatment for their prom.
Ms Cousin added: “We are open daily and evening viewings are available via appointments.”
