A fire at a derelict building in Deal is believed to have been started deliberately.
Firefighters were called to a blaze at Park Avenue just after 10.10pm yesterday.
Two fire engines attended and crews wearing breathing apparatus put out the flames using hose reel jets and high-pressured fans.
The firefighters finished and left the scene just under an hour later.
While the building was damaged a Kent Fire and Rescue Service spokesman explained: “No injuries were reported, and it’s believed the fire was started deliberately. “
A police spokesman said: “An investigation into the incident is ongoing and anyone with information should call Kent Police.”
They should telephone 01843 222289, quoting the reference number 46/217878/23.
