Firefighters attended a petrol leak at the BP petrol station in Limekiln Street in Dover, last night.

30 litres of petrol was reported on the forecourt, after a car had been overfilled with fuel.

One appliance from Dover Fire Station attended the incident at 2am.

Crew manager Darrell Tonks said: “We moved the vehicle off the forecourt to a safe place, and placed sand over the fuel.

“Once the fuel is soaked up, the sand will be disposed of.”
