Environment Agency issues flood alert from Pegwell Bay to Deal, including Sandwich

A flood alert issued from Pegwell Bay to Deal and including Sandwich is no longer in force.
The Environment Agency issued the warning yesterday afternoon for areas in Sandwich along the river.
The alert stated: "This alert is primarily to advise riverside interests along the Tidal Stour in the Sandwich area, of the possibility of low-impact flooding from around midnight tonight.
"Locations on the open coast between Deal and Pegwell Bay should not be affected by the forecast conditions.
"The high tide at Sandwich will be around 12.45am on Wednesday morning. The high tide at Grove Ferry will be around 2.30am on Wednesday morning.
The alert included Discovery Park, Tidal Stour and Stonar Cut.
