Message of hope from Deal & District Flower Club on National Flower Arranging Day

National Flower Arranging Day was a perfect excuse to put out a sign of hope, florally.

Before the pandemic, it was tradition for Deal and District Flower Club to mark the day by placing small arrangements around the town, with a ‘please take me home’ invitation attached.

This year, to fit in with current guidelines, instead of leaving flowers to celebrate the event, members used their homes and fixed something floral on a front door, gate or fence to mark the day and to give a little cheer.

Deal and District Flower Club has been meeting virtually while government limitations are in place.

A spokesman said: "We are looking forward to being able to get together again as restrictions lift and the social side of the club can once again be enjoyed, particularly as we celebrate our 35th anniversary in 2021."
