Money is still available from two grant schemes administered by Deal Town Council.
Grants of up to £2,000 can be used for special projects. The theme for this category in 2020-21 is emergency and recovery.
This applies to organisations who have been hit by extra or unexpected costs as a result of the Covid emergency and its aftermath. Grants are not likely to be awarded simply for replacement of lost income, but help with actual or upcoming costs which are hard to meet because of lost income will be considered.
Smaller grants of up to £500 each are available from the annual small grants fund.
Applications can be considered from local community groups, clubs, and organisations.
Grants may be for one off events, short term activities, for equipment, unexpected repairs and maintenance or similar costs.
Requests for routine, anticipated costs will not be considered.
You can apply for these grants by downloading an application form at deal.gov.uk
Completed Applications need to be received by 5pm on February 26.
