Havant and Waterlooville 2 Dover 3
17:02, 12 December 2009
Dover are into the second round of the FA Trophy after getting the better of Havant and Waterlooville in a topsy turvy tie on Saturday.
The home side opened the scoring on 23 minutes when Robbie Lockett fired in from long range - but the lead was snuffed out almost immediately as Nicky Southall picked up the ball and scored from just outside the box.
The Whites were ahead seven minutes before half-time when a fine move ended with Jon Wallis sidefooting home from a tight angle.
Dover might have scored a third before the break but Shaun Welford's driven cross just evaded Adam Birchall.
The scores were level again in the 54th minute when a cross was flicked on and Manny Williams got to the ball ahead of keeper John Whitehouse to poke home.
Olly Shulz headed a corner inches over on 59 minutes, but Dover didn't have to wait long to take the lead once again and this time it proved decisive as Welford's flicked header from Southall's free-kick ended the scoring.
Havant pushed for another equaliser but Whitehouse was in fine form to keep them at bay.
