An award has been offered for the safe return of a truck that was brazenly stolen in broad daylight from an industrial estate in Deal.
Damian Taylor Wilson, owner of Town & Country Paving, said his blue Mitsubishi L200 was driven away by a man at Southwall Road Industrial Estate after 2pm on Tuesday, December 30.
According to the businessman, the thief arrived in a silver Ford Focus that contained another man and a dark haired young woman. He got out of the passenger seat and climbed into his truck and drove off.
The Mitsubishi had its keys inside where it was being worked on at a garage.
Mr Taylor Wilson said: "People were seen driving off in it. They were caught on camera doing it."
"It's going to affect my insurance so I would be happy to pay a reward to get it back" - truck owner Damian Taylor Wilson
The stolen 4-door L200 has been seen being driven around east Kent. The last known sighting was on Monday when it was seen leaving a garage in Nonington heading towards Aylesham.
It was registered a 2001. It is sign-written with the wording referring to Soft Track Equestian Liveries. And the unusual personalised number plate - N1 DTW - is worth cash too.
"It's going to affect my insurance so I would be happy to pay a reward to get it back. The police are doing all they can to get it back," he said.
He estimates the woman passenger is about 23 years-old with dark hair and the thief is in his early to mid 30s, tubby, with dark hair.
A Kent Police spokesman said: "Officers received a report of a theft from Southwall Road in Deal at about 2.15pm on 30 December.
"A blue-silver pick-up truck was reported missing.
"A number of enquiries are being carried out, and these include making officers across the county aware of the details of the vehicle in order to record any potential sightings.
