Five dads will attempt to climb three mountains in three different countries in less than 24 hours.
Gaz Jones, Stuart Lindars, Aaron Mitford, Leon Everitt from Deal along with pal Mat Gladdish from Canterbury will be raising cash for two charities when they take on what's known as the Three Peak Challenge.
The endeavour on Friday, June 29 is an attempt to reach the summits of Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in England and Snowdon in Wales in one day.
Starting at Ben Nevis and finishing in Snowdon, they will cover 462 miles of road, 23 miles of mountain terrain with a total ascent of 10,052ft.
Mr Jones, 40, said: "Our aim is to complete the challenge to help raise funds and awareness for Simpal and Frankie Box.
"We are all super excited but nervous!
"It’s a daunting challenge and it’s going to be tough both mentally and physically but raising money for two extremely special causes will keep us focused and motivated."
Simpal is the only charity in the UK offering free communication services to people living with cancer.
Mr Jones has a personal link to the cause after they gave help and support to his sister Hannah Rajabi.
He said: "Simpal were unbelievably kind to Hannah through her illness and even offered lots of support to my family after we sadly lost Hannah in January 2018.
"It's a two-year old charity run by some wonderful people that now support more than 450 families across the UK.
"I wanted to give them something back so decided to make them my company Wave Search's charity partner.
"The Three Peaks Challenge was a fundraising idea and here we are."
Frankie Box, a 15-year-old girl from Dartford who suffers with Gastroparesis - a rare condition where her stomach is paralysed - will also benefit from the group's efforts.
She is a pupil at The Leigh Academy where challenger Stuart Lindars, 40, is a principal.
Her campaign is to raise £17,000 for an operation to fit a gastric pacemaker device to help her eat without a tube.
The five men have already embarked on a strict training regime with regular walks between Kingsdown and Dover and are planning a training exercise in Snowdon or South Downs later this month.
They've hired a minibus and it will be down to driver Sean Stroud to transport the five friends from landmark to landmark.
Mr Jones added: "Please donate whatever you can, all the money raised goes straight to them and will have a huge impact."
