A Kent creative, Lizzie Willis, has been using the extra time at home to compile a book which includes beautiful illustrations by artist, Angela Malone.
Ms Willis, a drama teacher from Deal, says the new book comes from the necessity to slow down, rethink and stay local.
Her book is called Earth Hygge: A Source Book for Heart-Centred Living.
She said: "This book is a gentle reminder to appreciate the simple pleasures found on our doorstep – or at least a short walk down the road!
"Delve into the pages for some friendly reminders, tips and advice on shifting your perspective in order to create a happier, calmer and more joyful existence.
There are ideas for activities to soothe mind, body and soul, encouraging a more heart-centred and connected way of life for earth-dwellers."
Deal is Lizzie's hometown and she says the book is a "kind of love letter to Deal and South East Kent" which also recommends lots of businesses in the town.
She added: "I am hoping this book will be a welcome tonic when lockdown is over - especially for Deal residents, visitors and businesses.
"It's a chance to celebrate everything we have missed during these difficult times.
"The beautiful illustrations in this book are as important as the words and capture the essence behind the ideas."
The book is now available to purchase for £14 from Ms Willis directly by emailing willis.lizzie@yahoo.com. Free delivery in Deal area.
Stockists (as soon as open after lockdown) are: The History Project Hub, Urban Chic, Deal, Your Little Green Shop (@ The Village), Hut 55, Deal, Funky Monks, Canterbury, Garage Coffee, Canterbury.
