An illuminated parade was held through Dover on Sunday to mark 130 years of carnivals in the town.
It was organised by Dover Carnival Association and the procession was led by Miss Dover, Junior Miss Dover and their princesses.
Despite the short notice - details of the event were only revealed a week before - many people turned out to watch the parade go by.
Several carnival courts from Kent, London and Essex took part as did CJ's Cheerleaders and two majorette groups, and the Western Heights Preservation Society.
Full report and photos in the Dover Mercury this Thursday, October 6.
