This grainy image could help track down a man who grabbed at a teenage girl as she walked down a street in the early morning.

The 13-year-old was walking along Honeywood Road in Whitfield at 8.15am on June 10 when she was allegedly approached by a man who tried to grab her arm.

She fled and reported the incident to police.

The man is described as white, slim, around 20 to 25, 5ft 6in tall, unshaven and scruffy. He spoke with a ‘foreign’ accent.

Anyone who recognises the man in the image should contact Detective Constable Gary Stamp on 01227 868271.
