More than 95 local causes throughout the Dover district will benefit from the Dover District Lotto.
Since its launch three months ago, more than 17,000 tickets have been sold and £40,000 is forecast to go to good causes in the first year.
Among them are Cherished Gowns UK, Sandwich in Bloom, Deal Walmer & Kingsdown Amateur Rowing Club, and the 1st Eythorne Rainbows.
Dover Sharks Rugby Football Club's development manager Dave Allen said: “We’ve certainly enjoyed being part of the Dover District Lotto and we’re definitely reaping the benefits.
"Thanks to our lottery supporters we’ve already raised over £500 that will help the club to develop our community rugby activities over the next 12 months.”
Hougham Village Hall Trust will get over £1,400 to maintain the hall and expand the range of activities available.
DDC portfolio holder for community services Cllr MJ Holloway said: “With 60p in the £1 going direct to good causes, it’s providing a regular income stream for them that’s making a real difference.”
