Kentish Knockers chef Jill Martin from Deal cooks up lunch for hard-working staff in Intensive Care Unit at QEQM Margate

An award-winning pastry chef has treated over-worked nursing staff looking after the poorliest of patients.
Jill Martin from Deal cooked up a rich and tasty spaghetti bolognese for medics working at the Intensive Care Unit in Margate as a thank you for their work through the pandemic.
Mrs Martin, who in 2019 won the World's Best Pasty Competition for her Kentish Knockers.
Before that she was a joint winner on Come Dine With Me and she now runs her own business, Town Kitchen, from her home, selling her wares at Deal Saturday Market.
Mrs Martin cooked up the pasta and sauce at her home in The Grove, Deal.
She then packed it up and drove it over to the Queen Elizabeth Queen Mother (QEQM) hospital where she handed it over to staff at a safe distance.
