A jury has still not come to a verdict in the trial of two women accused of murdering a vulnerable DJ from Dover.

Alicia Davis and Charlotte Coulson, both 22, knifed 30-year-old Michael Kerr in the chest and slit his throat before dumping his body next to his car in a remote lane in Capel-Le-Ferne, the Old Bailey has heard.

Davis admitted causing Mr Kerr's horrific injuries, but claims it was because he had raped her and Coulson claims she was trying to help her friend.

Earlier in the evening, Davis had sex with Mr Kerr for £20 and the prosecution claim she bitterly regretted it.

Neither woman gave evidence at the trial.

Mr Kerr, a former Harbour School pupil, was born with a chromosomal condition, Fragile Syndrome, which meant he had learning difficulties, spoke with a stammer and had a limp.

He lived with his grandparents at King's Ropewalk, Aycliffe, Dover.

Davis, of Milner Crescent, Aylesham, and Coulson, of Clarendon Street, Dover, both deny murder.

Members of the jury started considering the verdict on Thursday. They returned on Friday but were sent home having not reached a verdict, to resume deliberations on Monday.

The trial continues.
