Liverpool Road in Walmer will re-open tomorrow after it was closed on Saturday due to damage caused by severe weather.
The road is shut near the Archery Square junction after part of the road collapsed.
KCC highways engineers investigated at the weekend and found that the problem had been caused by the recent stormy weather.
A spokesman from Kent County Council said: “The subsidence was on the line of a sewer but investigations by Southern Water revealed there was no problem with the sewer itself but the natural settlement of the road structure, caused by recent flooding and general bad weather.”
Repair work began yesterday and is due to be completed tomorrow when the road is scheduled to re-open.
