A dog, that was found wandering around Elms Vale woods for more than 15 hours has been found by a resident and given to the dog warden.
Concerned resident, Claire Jones, who lives in Dover spotted a dog in the woods by Elms Vale at around 6.45pm on Saturday evening.
The dog is of medium build, was barking and appeared to be scared.
On Sunday afternoon, around midday, the dog was removed from the woods by a resident who then handed it over to a dog warden.
Mrs Jones said: “It seemed terrified and would not stop barking the whole time I was there, it was what led me to it.
“It also would not move from the spot, or respond to my voice.
“There was what looked like a freshly killed rabbit or something in front of it so I wonder if it’s been there a while and started fending for itself."
The dog has now been placed on the dog lost list, click here for more details.
