A seafront house which a couple won in a raffle has been put on the market after just six months.
The "stunning" multi-million pound cliffside retreat in Kingsdown, near Deal has been listed after it was claimed in a national draw.
The home, which was valued at the time at £2.5million, was up for grabs as part of a raffle by Omaze, with thousands across the country buying entries into the draw, which also raised £750,000 for charity.
Likened to a James Bond lair, the 9,000sq ft house sits just 90 feet from the edge of the cliff and is called The Gunnery, as the site was once home to a Second World War gun emplacement built to protect Britain from a German invasion in the English Channel.
A couple from the Midlands – Jade and her unnamed partner – scooped the top prize, as well as £50,000 cash, and three days later travelled down to Kent to have a look around their new home.
"It's going to be life-changing," Jade said.
"It's beyond our wildest dreams. There will never be quite enough words to describe how this whole experience has felt to me and my family."
However, just six months after the winning moment in October 2022, the house has now been listed on the market with agents Strutt and Parker for £2.65m.
The listing suggests that it offers "possibly the best sea views in Kent," and is an "intriguing, unique and individual home... one of a kind and unrivalled in all senses".
An agent added: "The Gunnery is set in a commanding position with unrivalled 180-degree views of the Channel, looking over the charming village of Kingsdown to the east, towards the iconic White Cliffs to the west and France to the south."
The property was built by American couple Garfield and Vanessa Spencer, who used it as a holiday home from their base in the US before deciding to sell it, with it listed for £6m in 2019.
Mr Spencer previously told the Telegraph: "We wanted to build something special.
"We have four children, and they love going down in the lift and running across the lane to the beach. We love watching them on the sand from the terrace."
