A man has been airlifted to hospital after he was involved in a mountain bike accident at a country park.

It is understood the cyclist fell from his bike at the Fowlmead attraction - which is between Deal and Sandwich.

It is believed the rider made it back to his car and was found by others in considerable pain.

The accident happened this afternoon and the victim has been flown to Kings College Hospital in London.

It is not yet known whether the injuries are serious.
