A 30-year-old man has been arrested after the discovery of a woman's body at a house in Prescott Close, Guston, near Dover.

Police were called at 10.15pm on Sunday and found the body of the woman, believed to be aged in her 40s, at a house. A post mortem examination is due to be held today.

The man, who is from Dover, was arrested on suspicion of murder and is currently in custody.

Officers say they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the murder enquiry and have confirmed that the woman who died and the man in custody were known to each other.
