Jed Bedford of Deal charged with five offences including the assault of a police officer

A man suspected of a string of offences including assaulting a police officer has been charged.
Jed Bedford, 24, of Goodwin Close, Deal was arrested yesterday following his alleged spate of crimes.
He has been charged with grievous bodily harm, the assault of an emergency worker, theft, actual bodily harm and criminal damage.
The charges follow the serious assault of a man in Deal on May 11 2020, the assault of a police officer on August 26, the theft of meat from the Co-Operative supermarket in Mill Road on September 6, the assault of another man in Deal on September 18 and criminal damage caused to a police cell on October 8.
Mr Bedford appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court today and has been remanded in custody.
He is next due to appear at Canterbury Crown Court on Friday, November 6.
