Deal stabbing: Police and ambulances in Redsull Avenue, Deal

A man is believed to have been stabbed in an attack in Deal this afternoon.

Witnesses reported seeing a man running around with a knife during the attack around 1pm.

Emergency services including at least three ambulances and several police cars descended on Redsull Avenue.

Officers cordoned off the street while the incident took place amid reports from residents that a group of men were seen fleeing the area.

Police spokesman Vicki Foster said: "Police were called at 1.08pm to a report of an assault in Redsull Avenue, Deal.

"Officers attended along with the ambulance service and a man was treated for injuries not believed to be serious.

"He was taken to hospital to be treated. Inquiries into the circumstances of the incident are ongoing."
