A jobless mechanic bombarded a teenage girl with sex messages urging her to take pictures of herself.

Twisted Paul Atkins sent filthy Facebook requests which filled 171 pages of evidence, a judge has heard.

The 37-year-old – who sat through the hearing with his head bowed – also took secret pictures of youngsters as well as downloading illegal images.

Now Atkins, of Dola Avenue Deal, has been jailed for five years and four months after admitting 12 charges relating to sexual touching and possessing the explicit pictures.

Canterbury Crown Court heard how one of his vile messages read: “All good dirty fun lol you can say anything you want be as rude naughty cheeky funny as you want.

“It’s only between me and you no one else will ever know I promise xXx.”

In another one he wrote: “Hey sexy xXx picture and video ideas, you in jeans leggins your new dress tops and knickers.”

He then added an emoticon winking.

Another said “Naked in just underwear rude naughty and sexy (another emoticon winking) maybe you could film yourself in shower (wink) whatever you do will be great sexy… stay happy and horny xXx” (sic).

The court heard how he offered money to the teenagers to send the images to him on his mobile telephone.

In April, after one of his victims complained to a friend, Atkins was arrested and told police: “OK – I’ll put my hands up – there are photographs on the phone.”

Detectives seized his computer and mobile phone and discovered he had been searching for pornographic images.

There were also images he had taken secretly, the court heard.

Judge Heather Norton told him: “You bombarded one of your victims with your sexual desires and your sexual intentions you made very clear.”

She dismissed Atkins’ claim to a probation officer that he had no sexual interest in his child victims saying he had revealed himself as “warped and perverted” adding: “To believe your claims would be to stretch credulity to its utter limits and beyond. You are a risk to others.”

The judge also made him subject to a Sex Offenders Prevention Order and ordered he keep away from all females under 16 years old when he is released.
