Mental health charity Talk It Out delivers food boxes to families thanks to £3,000 grant

More than 100 families will receive a food hamper to help them through the coronavirus pandemic thanks to a grant.
Colin Smith secured £3,000 on behalf of Deal based Talk It Out mental health group from the National Emergencies Trust via The Kent Community Foundation Coronavirus Emergency Fund.
The money is being used to supply food parcels containing essential goods and the odd 'pick me up' to vulnerable people or anyone experiencing hard times because of Covid-19.
Tracy Carr, who runs Talk It Out's wellbeing hub, said: "We have just completed our first week. We have had many tears on the doorstep but happy tears.
"It is wonderful how a food hamper and flowers can totally lift someone's mood.
"Isolation is causing so much distress and it means so much to be able to make someone smile."
Kelly Ann Evans, who has been a member of Talk It Out for eight years, was among those to receive one.
She said: "It was so appreciated.
"It's topped us up on things that are of use daily especially the fruit and vegetables for our baby, and some baby items which in some weeks I have found difficult to come by.
"We received bananas, potatoes, washing powder, conditioner, baby wipes, salad, cheese, milk and a nice bunch of flowers, just to make us feel better."
Mrs Carr has called on Sholden Village Store to help produce the boxes.
She said: "It is so important we support our local businesses throughout these difficult times."
Martin and Sylvia Sims, who last month gave out free meals to 100 villagers, have taken on the challenge of putting together 120 hampers over four weeks.
Mrs Sims said: "We were thrilled at the opportunity and feel honoured to be part of such a worth while cause."
