A Whitfield teen who was reported missing told her social media friends she was “home init” two days afterwards.
Sarah-Jane Broster left her family home in France Road, Whitfield on Sunday, which was her 15th birthday.
Her mother and sister took to social media websites to appeal for help to find her.
She was reported missing after travelling to Cheriton in Folkestone and not coming back.
On Monday Miss Broster phoned her mother, and police spokeswoman, Jane Walker said: “She was reported missing on Sunday but has been in contact with her family since and is believed to be with people she knows.”
On Tuesday evening Miss Broster eventually returned home.
