Will you marry me?

Words from the heart were spelled out big time by one visitor to Margate beach yesterday.
This declaration of devotion "Beth Will You Marry Me?" was carved painstakingly in the sand on the shore below the Winter Gardens.
The giant heart was unmissable, measuring some 30ft from top to bottom and a similar distance across.
It captured the interest of intrigued passersby on the beach, promenade and on the cliff top above, where a fun fair was in full swing.
They smiled, took photographs and speculated on who the mystery lovers could be.
Perhaps the biggest question revolved around the response to so original a proposal.
The short lived message lasted only a few hours between high tides, eventually being gently obliterated by the incoming sea, just before sunset.
Meanwhile starry-eyed romantics continued to ponder on the nature of enduring love.
Do you know Beth and what she answered? Can you identify her lover. If so, we would love to hear of a happy ending to take us into the next sunset.
